Fullsize Neck Chain Pen
Although we've introduced many new Neck chain pens over the years, my feeling is that we've never had a model that is this functional and durable. Finally, there's a writing instrument manufacturer who's listened to what the person using the pen wants and has been asking for over the years. When the pen is removed from the cap, the pen actually fills the hand and is a full sized writing instrument. When the pen goes back into the cap (that stays around your neck) there is a heavy duty magnet that grabs the pen and makes a decisive "click" sound so you KNOW the pen is secure and won't fall out of the cap! The barrel and cap of the Neck chain pen is made from durable F-16 Aircraft Aluminum and the outer color finish is a strong Powder Coat that is baked into the pen and will not fade or erode over time. Finally someone GOT IT RIGHT!

Over the years they've all had various neckchain pens, and they always seem to wear out and no longer hold in the cap well, or the plastic ones tend to develop small cracks in the cap with repeated use, eventually causing them to become unusable. They were all impressed with the magnet feature, and when I tried one I was quite surprised with how much force the magnet actually holds with. It looks like they won't need to worry about losing these pens and being left with nothing but a pen cap necklace. Secondly, every one of the [Neck chain Pen] recipients immediately removed the factory ink cartridge and replaced it with the Space Pen refill. These are people that at times are outside in sun, rain, and snow in every temperature we have in Salt Lake filling out paperwork on rental cars being moved, taken to auction, new cars being brought into the fleet, damaged cars being inspected. The combination of the magnet cap on the AeroPen and the Space Pen refill makes this just about the perfect neckchain pen for them. I'm trying to convince my mother that she should convince her boss to buy them for every one of his employees. The only suggestion I could make to improve the design would be to add a version with a rubberized coating on the barrel. This would make the pen easier to grip when using it with gloves on in the middle of winter. |
