The minute you pull this instrument out of it’s aluminum tube storage container, you’ll be hit with the fine smell of leather. Whomever came up with wrapping leather around the barrel of a pen should be commended because the feel of leather when your writing is truly phenomenal. The smooth writing capless roller ball refill inside all Tornado writing instruments lay down a nice dark wet line. Strong tensile strength clip. Very handsome writing instrument. Another benefit to the Tornado Pens is that all of them can also accept the Fisher Pressurized Space Pen refills so you can write at any angle and in extreme heat and cold.

When you hold this unique instrument in your hand, you’ll marvel at how Retro 51 has wrapped this Brown Snake Leather around the barrel so perfectly! You’ll feel the texture of the snake as if this is the “real deal” that you’ve just grabbed with your hand.  I liked this pen a lot (Jim, the Owner speaking) because it felt great in the hand.
