Mermaids are the playful ladies of the sea. In ancient sailor's lore mermaids were reputed to sing so beguilingly that they lured many a spellbound sailor into the deeps. Although the mermaids natural element, this posed a problem to the average sailor since most of them didn't master the art of swimming.
